To locate Caledonian Creek Golf Course from Greymouth you take State Highway 7 (north towards Reefton) and turn left at the north end of Stillwater, cross the Grey River Bridge and turn right just off the bridge and travel towards Blackball. At the turn-off to Blackball you continue towards Moonlight (Atarau) for another 10 - 15 minutes. You will pass the Moonlight Hall & tennis court (on your left) and continue for another 1.5km to Shellback Road (just before you enter the avenue of native bush). Turn left along Shellback Road for about 500m where you will find Caledonian Creek Golf Course. (note; Shellback Road is a gravel road about 30 metres past the intersection with the main road).

To locate Caledonian Creek Golf Course from Reefton you take State Highway 7 (south towards Greymouth) and turn right at Ikamatua (about 15 - 20minutes drive from Reefton) From Ikamatua it takes about another 15 minutes to Moonlight (Atarau). Turn Right at Shellback Road (just through the avenue of native bush) and about 500m along Shellback Road you will find Caledonian Creek Golf Course.

Note; Moonlight and Atarau are the same place. Atarau is the Maori name for Moonlight and it is Atarau that generally appears on highway sign posts and maps. Moonlight (Atarau) is not a township, but a rural farming district stretching some 10kms along the western terraces of the Grey River.
